Wheels of Wonder held a Gala and Fun Bike Ride on October 21-22, 2006 at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa that attracted several cycling celebrities (listed in alphabetical order) – Alejandro Albor, Greg Demgen, Jimena Florit, Sarah Hammer, Steve Hegg, FLOYD LANDIS, Axel Merckx, Pete and Joanne Penseyres, and Robbie Ventura.   The weekend events netted $130,000 to benefit Canine Companions for Independence, which is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.  Here are some snaps from the event.
